Today's lesson objectives were for students to:
1. Understand a poem using what we already know and what we see in the pictures.
2. Read and understand new words by sounding them out.
3. Predict what will happen next in the poem.

We started by looking at only the picture, and then sentence by sentence the poem was revealed to the kids. And through the poem, we picked out what it means (inference and comprehension) and some of the rhyming words.
We watched a video about how ants work together, and Rayden shared the phrase 'Teamwork makes the Dream work'. And we are not going to give up easily too, in whatever we do.
We also spent time practising spelling using phonics. We did 'ai' and 'oa' today.
Words spelt in class:'ai' words: pain, train, snail
'oa' words: goat, coat, toast, toad, boat
That's all for now!
