Subject Verb Agreement - Quizizz

Last Friday, we revised our Subject Verb Agreement with Quizizz.

Looking at the results, many of them are easily confused when there are more items/people in the sentence:

e.g. My lunch tray _____ oranges, a sandwich and milk on it.

Some of them would use the plural verb 'have' because they see many items. What they have to identify is the correct subject, which is "My lunch tray". So the answer should be singular verb, "has".

I also got them to chant with me:

'I' and 'You' are special.

They do not need the super 's' in their verbs.

So Singular Nouns need Singular verbs (Super S).

Hope they can remember!
