We are working on the more mundane stuff during English lessons these days, such as corrections, revision and reading. I had to take time to listen to each of them as well, and some kids need a little more time than others.
I would like to encourage parents to read more to the kids, and this is a good guide on how we read books in class as well:
I have been working with individual kids on how to read with fluency and expression as well. Some of the kids are a natural and I would be getting them to read more in class as models for their classmates.
I would also like to ask the kids to start bringing Language Usage Booklet 2-4 to school. Please help to label each booklet with the child's name to avoid confusion. Some kids had given all the booklets on the first day of school, so if you're unsure, you can check with me if I have your child's copy.
Also a reminder that the kids should continue to read on Myon.sg whenever they are free. It would help them to listen and follow the words read to improve their sight words especially.
