We read the new book 'To Town' today. Before the lesson, I gave everyone a paper plate and asked them what they could use it for, using their imagination. Many came up with similar ideas, like using it to hold food, use it as a fan, a hat... and one boy said to drive a bus.
I told the kids to imagine the paper plate as a steering wheel and they could bring it home to decorate the paper plate. They could bring it back to school for our re-reading of the book tomorrow.
While figuring out how to spell motor bike, we voiced out the sounds and found out that 'i' said its letter name instead of the short /i/ sound. We learnt about the Magic 'e'. I would show this video to them tomorrow, as I couldn't find it when I was in class just now.
Glad to see almost full attendance today, hope the kids continue to stay well and healthy!
