Writing a personal recount

Using the kids' experience of making their own pair of binoculars, we attempted to write down as a class what most of us did. It was not easy for them to get the right tenses as they have yet to learn it, but the focus of the lesson was to get them to be familiar with the text type, 'Recount'.  

We learnt about the 5Ws and 1H, and had our first try on writing. We will work on some simple writing in the next few lessons.
