Since the children are learning to read vowel digraphs, we also learnt the following rule:
This video below helped to make it more visual for them. Some shared with me that they have learnt this in kindergarten, so it should be really easy for them by now.
However not all children have learnt phonics in kindergarten, so I do hope that parents could spend more time to read to them. For today's homework, the children were asked to practise reading all the exercises from 1 to 11 as revision (Reading Through Phonics handout), then the following words with the vowel digraphs were also practised in class:
