Preparation for Next Lesson...

Dear parents, we are going to read a new book next week, and the kids are going to explore in a jungle. Please work together with your child to make a pair of binoculars, I am thinking of using this experience of them making the binoculars as a writing activity as well. 

This is a sample video of how we can make a really simple one, it is up to your child's creativity as to how he/she wants to decorate or add on to their own binoculars. 

As you are making it with them, it will be great if you can get them to articulate the steps. Ask them questions and encourage them to use the starters below:

1. What is the first step?

                    (Child: First, I....)

2. What comes next?

                    (Child: Next, I...)

3. What happens then?)

                    (Child: Then, I also...)

4. What happens at the end?

                    (Child: Finally, I.....)

There is no written homework for EL, but there is some work for Maths, which the students should have written in their WePO.
