We talked about some strategies to help us read and we learnt about what syllables are (i.e. sounds in a word). We learnt up to the first 3 rules from this video:
They may want to continue watching it at home if it helps them read.
English is a very weird language, there are lots of inconsistencies and exceptions. So the rules might not apply for all words as well.
