Subject-Verb Agreement

Today, our focus was on Subject-Verb Agreement:

I introduced the Super 'S' who would come to the rescue of the Singular Subject and adding 'strength' to its verb:

Singular Subject (Noun)Verb
The boyplays
The caris

Sometimes, the Super 'S' would be hiding in the subject instead, making it plural. When it is plural, it does not need Super 'S' as they have enough 'strength' for the verb:

Plural Subject (Noun)Verb
The boysplay
The carsare

We used our FAST Kits (Those coloured, number pages in our Personal Organiser) in class to answer the quiz below:

They can try it by themselves individually and see if they can get up the Leaderboard.

No written homework, but some did not finish class work (Language Usage p. 13 and 14) so they would bring it back home to complete.

Parents, please check that your child has their WePO (Wellington Organiser), their mini-whiteboard and marker with them to facilitate their learning. Thank you! :)
